Bryon M. Ater entered the Air Force in 1972 based on the draft. According to his ASVAB score (100 out of 100) in mechanics, he chose to become a Jet engine mechanic. Bryon’s tenure consisted of 7 years 4 month’s 15 days, with another 2 years of service with the reserves for the remaining 6 months of active duty. He left Luke AFB, AZ to join Allegheny Air lines after earning his degree as a airframe powerplant mechanic with Emory Riddle. He served U.S. Airways until March 31 of 2001. Bryon created BG&S Peening and Consulting LLC on August 14, 2002. Bryon had been the only certified shot peener at U.S, Airways upon his release. Since the creation of BG&S Peening and Consulting, LLC, Bryon has landed contracts with Bell Helicopter, Lockheed Martin, and department of defense.
